"I didn't know how tired I was until I wasn't. The days were simple, the land was steady, and I felt safe enough to finally stop bracing."

"It wasn't a magic fix. It was better than that — a real structure, real people, and enough honesty that I could be honest too."

"The screening call mattered. Cheryl asked the hard questions kindly. I knew I wasn't just a booking number."

Is this for you?

You are not broken. You are out of alignment with a system that was never built for you.

You are navigating burnout, perimenopause, or a life stage that doesn't fit the old scripts.

You have tried conventional healthcare and left feeling unheard, under-tested, or overprescribed.

You sense something needs to shift, but you are not in crisis — you want depth, not drama.

You believe change is possible, but only when it is held safely, ethically, and with clinical care.

You want to do this alongside other women who are asking the same questions.

If something here lands, that recognition is worth paying attention to. This is where we begin.

Why

Women have been left behind for too long

Not broken, not ill — just braced. House 137 makes room for the opposite: time, quiet, nature, other people, and enough safety for the body to stand down. We don't promise outcomes. We create conditions.

From survival, to belonging

Trauma can leave the nervous system organised around survival, even long after the danger has passed. Our work is about creating the conditions for something different: a gradual movement from vigilance towards safety, from disconnection towards embodiment, and from isolation towards belonging.

Therapy-assisted

Psilocybin is not the whole experience. It is one part of a carefully supported therapeutic process. Clinical psychology, somatic practice, group process, preparation and structured integration hold the work before, during and after the medicine experience. Because what happens afterwards matters just as much as what happens in the room.

Helf by people

We believe deeply in the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy. We also believe in being clear about what we know, what we don’t, and where the research is still evolving. We distinguish established evidence from emerging hypotheses, and subjective experience from objective fact.

What

High-trust transformation container offering therapy-assisted plant medicine for women

Screening

Arrival, first night, last morning. The week is built around the moments of crossing — marked simply, without ceremony for its own sake.

Preparation

Coast, pine and open sky. Long walks, sea air and daylight, at a pace that suits the people in the group.

Immersion

Dark rooms, unhurried mornings, and practical support for sleep. Rest treated as the work, not the gap between it.

Integration

90 day integrationprocess

Safety & ethics

Held, not hosted

Safety isn't a section at the bottom of the page. It shapes who we accept, what we offer and what we decline to do.

Screening

Everyone speaks with us before joining. We review health history and current circumstances, and we say no when a retreat isn't the right setting.

Clinical governance

Named clinical oversight, documented protocols, supervision for facilitators and review after every retreat.

Consent

You are told what each session involves before it begins, and you can step out of anything at any time without explanation.

Boundaries

Clear roles between facilitators and guests. No dual relationships, no touch without explicit consent, no pressure to disclose.

Safeguarding

A named safeguarding lead, a written policy, and a route to raise a concern during or after the retreat.

Emergency planning & scope

Local medical arrangements, staff trained in first aid, and an honest scope: we are not a treatment service and we don't replace therapy or medical care.

Who

Expert led team

Cheryl leads every retreat and speaks with each person beforehand — a 15-minute call to talk honestly about whether this is the right thing, right now.

Who it's for

  • People who have been braced for a long time and want somewhere safe to unclench.
  • Anyone who wants the reasoning as well as the practice.
  • Those happy in a small group — usually no more than fourteen.
  • It is not suitable for people currently in acute crisis, and we'll say so kindly if that's where you are.

The team

The people who hold the week.

Dr Cheryl Cross
