Applying and screening
Submitting an application does not create a booking. Every application is reviewed, and includes a health and safety screening step. We may decline an application, or ask for further information or a letter from your GP or treating clinician, where we do not believe we can support you safely. Screening protects you and the group; it is not a judgement about you.
Payment
If your application is approved we will email you a secure payment link. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your place is confirmed only once payment is received.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellation terms, deposits and any refund windows are set out in the booking confirmation for your specific retreat. We may cancel or reschedule a retreat for safety, staffing or force majeure reasons; in that case you will be offered a transfer or a refund of monies paid to us. Travel and insurance arrangements are your responsibility and we strongly recommend travel insurance including medical cover and cancellation.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give complete and accurate health information, to tell us promptly if anything changes before the retreat, to follow reasonable safety instructions from the team on site, and to respect the confidentiality of other participants. We may ask someone to leave a retreat where behaviour puts themselves or others at risk; no refund is due in that case.
Nature of what we offer
House 137 retreats are educational and wellbeing experiences informed by evidence. They are not medical treatment, psychological therapy, crisis care or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. See our safety, disclaimers and emergency information.
Portal and account use
Participant materials in the portal are for your personal use. Do not share your login or redistribute materials. Keep your password confidential and tell us immediately if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the retreat.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Data handling is described in our privacy notice.
